Increasing Profitability With Standardized Global Used Truck Management System for a Leading Automotive Manufacturer
Overview The client is among the world leaders in manufacturing of commercial and heavy-use vehicles. The major challenges in this project were: Integrating disparate enterprise applications and platforms, including customer vehicle and order management, financial management system, dealership management system, SAP, and the Mainframe; Building a multi-lingual solution for over 13 languages; and Streamlining IT processes in-line with expected process definition and standards. Leveraging the expertise in automotive domain and web application development, they designed and developed a centralized, multilingual, multi-currency contract management system that became the first of its kind to be adopted by all countries in the European market. The Rational Unified Process framework was used, which is an architecture-centric iterative software development process.
