Ontario Agency Streamlines Content Management for E-Health Portals

Overview In 2002 Canada's Ontario Province began implementing e-health to revolutionize health care delivery with an electronic health information sharing network. The IT infrastructure for e-health is being developed by Smart Systems for Health Agency (SSHA). Among the services provided by SSHA are Web portals for centralized information access by Ontario's 150,000 healthcare professionals. With large volumes of rapidly changing information to deliver, SSHA selected Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 as a content management solution. Content Management Server 2002 alleviates IT-centric publishing bottlenecks through customizable templates and powerful document management tools. Benefits include quick deployment; fast content publishing; direct authoring and approval without specialized IT skills; flexible information delivery; and reduced portal operating costs.
