Spanish Financial Group Increases Network Performance and Reduces Server Costs
Overview In early 2007, Caja Madrid needed to redesign its Active Directory infrastructure to accommodate recent growth in its business and number of employees. The bank was interested in using the enhancements to Active Directory in Windows Server 2008 to improve its business processes. Caja Madrid worked with Microsoft Services and technology partner Informatica El Corte Ingles (IECISA) to evaluate Windows Server 2008 for deployment in its production environment. With the new solution, Caja Madrid has gained substantial improvements in the performance and management of the enterprise network. Windows Server 2008 has also improved network stability; the bank now has seven fewer hours of downtime a month.
