Overview Wasabi Systems Storage Builder for IP-SAN is a complete turnkey software solution pre-installed on a bootable Compact Flash disk that enables OEMs, systems integrators, and value-added resellers to create cost-effective iSCSI storage using standard off-the-shelf hardware components. iSCSI is a protocol for connecting external storage to servers. iSCSI takes SCSI packets of data and encapsulates them into IP packets, which are then transmitted over Ethernet. Anyone who is familiar with computer networking already possesses the knowledge required to configure and maintain a Storage Builder iSCSI target making it an ideal storage solution for organizations that heretofore have not been able to take advantage of networked storage due to the high cost and complexity of traditional storage solutions.
