ITV Draws Millions to Britain on the Move Campaign Site Thanks to Hosted Web Solution

Overview In 2004, the United Kingdom's largest commercial television network, ITV, embarked on a campaign to increase the health and fitness levels of the nation. The Britain on the Move campaign aims to encourage people to change their lifestyle by walking a little further each day. The campaign's Web site is a core resource. However, it was unlikely that the previous open source infrastructure could cope with the demand placed upon it. ITV worked with Microsoft, Attenda, and AKQA to design a new site based on Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 and Microsoft ASP.NET. The campaign was deemed an overwhelming success and the site was visited by some 14.2 million people.
