Leading Digital Asset Management Solution Vendor Expands Business Opportunities
Overview Open Text's Artesia Digital Media Group had developed an Oracle - based Digital Asset Management (DAM) application that proved to be very popular among media and entertainment companies and others managing a significant amount of digital content. However, lack of support for a Microsoft SQL Server - based option resulted in lost sales. Artesia decided to port its J2EE and Oracle - based application to one based on Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Working closely with Microsoft and with the Microsoft Database Consolidation Framework (DBCF) team, Artesia migrated the complete solution to SQL Server 2005 in only six months - creating new sales opportunities for Artesia.
