Monitoring Network Aware Sensors Using BACnet

Overview This paper proposes a protocol and software to use within a slow control system where slow in this context means that values are read from a variety of sensors at most once every second. The paper demonstrates how to use the Building Automation and Control network protocol (BACnet) to monitor network aware end-devices and set alarms on their sensor values.
