Overview This paper describes tips and techniques for troubleshooting VERITAS NetBackup implementations in Storage Area Network (SAN) environments using VERITAS SANPoint Control 3.6. A backup lifecycle approach is suggested along with backup system patterns, both enabled by SANPoint Control 3.6. Some familiarity with NetBackup is assumed but not required as the use of SANPoint Control 3.6 on backup SAN's can be useful with other backup applications.
