Overview Craig Douglas wanted his Sydney-based accountancy firm, C.A. Douglas & Associates (CADA), to crown its move to new premises with an IT upgrade. But, having seen the trouble many small businesses endure with technology, Douglas appreciated the task ahead. His firm already had problems with mobility and secure remote access to client information and its communications costs were skyrocketing. Billable hours were not as high as they could have been because staffs were forced to cut short client time to return to the office at the end of each day to update and synchronize information. The answer for CADA was to deploy Microsoft Windows Small Business Server, which has allowed the firm to be more efficient, reduce business risk, differentiate itself in the marketplace, and become more customer focused.
