Danish Hosting Provider Migrates Clients to New Messaging Environments and Grows 30 Per Cent Year-on-Year

Overview Denmark-based ScanNet provides hosting services to small and medium-sized businesses. Founded in 1995, the company continues to grow rapidly and made profits of ¬3.3 million (U.S.$4.3 million) in the latest financial year. The company wanted to develop a hosting solution that met the needs of SMEs for cutting-edge messaging and collaboration infrastructures. ScanNet turned to Microsoft, which was committed to supporting hosting companies around communication services. Microsoft had developed an existing Hosted Messaging and Collaboration (HMC) 3.5 solution that combined the following technologies: Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 - the core enterprise-level communication and collaboration server; and Microsoft Office Live Communications Server 2005 - integrating with the Microsoft Office system to deliver real-time communication through Instant Messaging (IM) services.
