Overview Mincom is a leading global provider of software solutions for asset-intensive industries. For nearly 30 years, Mincom has offered Mincom MineScape, a software solution for geological mapping and mine planning that helps mining companies bring new projects online quickly and increase the output from existing mines. For the latest version of Mincom MineScape, Mincom developers wanted to move away from UNIX and the company's proprietary code base to gain the advantages of working in a development environment based on the Windows platform. To do so, Mincom became an early adopter of the Microsoft Visual Studio Team System development system and the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 programming model.
