Railway Infrastructure Leader on Winning Track With Information Protection Technology

Overview Balfour Beatty Rail, the world's leader in railway infrastructure, needed to protect the critical, highly confidential information in contracts, executive reports, and human resources documents from being viewed and distributed to unauthorized persons. After eliminating many potential products and vendors, the company conducted a pilot study of Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) for Windows Server 2003. The results demonstrated stringent information protection - at a low cost financially and in terms of IT workload - as well as strong acceptance by executives and employees. Balfour Beatty Rail and its technology provider, Microsoft Gold Certified Partner DATALOG Software, are now preparing a wider rollout of the solution.
