Monitoring Exchange Server 2003 at Microsoft

Overview Everybody receive spam. Estimates vary widely - from 30% to 60% of all internet traffic is spam. The growth in spam has been exponential in the last two years, so many people who were not bothered even 1-2 months ago may now see unacceptable levels. The "Can SPAM" act now in effect has not slowed the onslaught. Despite the law, an analysis of 1,000,000 email messages from March 2004 found that of all the spam, 60% was still coming from American sources, with only 3.5% of the those messages adhering to the Can SPAM requirements. Spam also originated from 152 other countries. This paper shows the ways to minimize the amount and impact of the SPAM.
