Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 With the HP Enterprise Virtual Array and ProLiant Storage Server iSCSI Feature Pack Gateway Edition
Overview This paper highlights the configuration of storage for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 on an HP ProLiant Storage Server running Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 and the HP ProLiant Storage Server iSCSI Feature Pack. The iSCSI Feature Pack enables placement of Exchange files (typically database files and transaction log files) as well as other files (such as network attached storage - NAS file shares) on the Storage Server. The role of the ProLiant Storage Server is to access disks on the EVA storage array over Fibre Channel adapters and use iSCSI to define and present host access over Gigabit network interface cards. Host access may be application servers such as file and print, Exchange Server, etc.
