Overview OceanStore is a global persistent data storage designed to scale to billions of users and stored objects with high availability and is peer-to-peer technology based. Applications need to be built in OceanStore to test the OceanStore Client API (Application Programming Interface) and also to examine the conflict resolution strategies. This paper builds an e-mail infrastructure using OceanStore. This e-mail application enables delivery and retrieval for billions of clients. This paper describes the implementation of the SMTP front-end, one of the three components of the mail infrastructure. SMTP allows clients to send mail messages to multiple recipients.
