Identity Management Problems Answered by Microsoft Metadirectory Services

Overview ICL designs, builds and operates e-Business solutions for customers in financial services, telecoms, retail, government, utilities and travel markets. The challenge was to centralize the management of over 80 non-standard directory services and databases containing identity information for over 50,000 people. They deployed Microsoft Metadirectory Services (MMS) that provides connectivity, management, and interoperability functions to help unify fragmented directory and database environments. MMS is used by customers to unify and simplify their often-complex directory environments, and integration is the most significant obstacle to creating a true enterprise directory and identity management infrastructure.
