Bankers Trust Develops a New Investment Management System Using the InfraSet Component Framework and Visual Basic
Overview Bankers Trust New York Corporation (BT) is a leading financial services company and global provider of risk management capabilities. They needed to be capable of effective integration with the Microsoft Windows NT operating system and Component Object Model (COM) technologies. It also needed to be capable of supporting the use of Bankers Trust's current Sybase 10 relational database engine, as well as easily migrate, or better - transparently migrate, from Sybase to Microsoft's SQL Server database. To meet its new technology needs Bankers Trust focused upon the technical benefits of Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) technology for enabling a three-tiered system architecture.
