Training Store Aspires to Be the Biggest Online Shopping Mall for Training Products and Services

Overview The Training Store is an online, Web-based "Shopping mall" for training products and services. In the United States alone, some 20,000 training companies, representing numerous subject-matter niches, compete for awareness and business from their potential customers. Small and medium-sized training companies, in particular, face huge challenges reaching their target markets. Training Store selected a Microsoft BackOffice family environment-including Microsoft Windows NT Server operating system; Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) as the Web server; the Commerce Server component of Microsoft Site Server, Enterprise Edition, for database design, order pipeline, and site management; and Microsoft SQL ServerT as the database server- and used Microsoft Visual StudioT development system tools and Microsoft Active Server Pages to do all the development of the large, commercial site.
