Using SFU 3.0 to Port a UNIX-Based Solution to Windows

Overview LBM Systems, LLC, has been providing premium network printing and output management solutions to large and small business customers throughout the world since the early 1980s. When key customers wanted to extend that same network functionality using their servers based on Microsoft Windows NT and Microsoft Windows 2000, LBM Systems decided to port their UniQue and ClusterQue applications. Using the Interix technology now built into Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.0, LBM Systems was easily able to provide a highly scaleable, manageable, and intelligent print spooling solution for Windows while maintaining a single code base.
