International Consultants Create Office Business Application to Help Assist With Disaster Response Management

Overview Based in Perth, in Canada's Ontario province, Catalyst is a consulting firm that specializes in the design, development, and deployment of emergency planning and response systems. A key goal of Catalyst has been to find ways of using technology to help speed communications during disasters. To assist in this effort, Catalyst teamed up with Infusion Development, a New York-based IT solution provider and Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, to design the Joint Emergency Planning and Response System (JEPRS). It also lets organizations establish various workflow elements, including real-time alerts and notifications that can be sent to pagers or e-mail software such as the Office Outlook 2007 messaging and collaboration client.
