Configuring HP ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack for Blade Deployments of Microsoft Compute Cluster Server 2003
Overview Microsoft Windows Compute Cluster Server (CSS) 2003 is Microsoft's recent entry into the High Performance Computing (HPC) market. The goal of this product is to provide a simpler way to deploy HPC solutions while still providing more advanced customers with the capability of running powerful compute clusters. Many in the industry were initially skeptical of Microsoft's entry into an HPC market that has been traditionally dominated by UNIX and Linux. However, many of the skeptics have been won over by Microsoft's implementation and its demonstrated ability to actually perform at supercomputer levels.
