Overview Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department patrol over 112 miles of the Florida Key islands. The department's critical application, SmartCOP, requires a static IP address which makes its use over their AT&T GPRS network problematic. AT&T, a NetMotion Wireless partner, recommended Mobility XE Mobile VPN. The department deployed Mobility XE in less than hour and was able to run its core application seamlessly over wireless networks. Mobility XE also met federal encryption requirements and dramatically improved application performance, getting critical information to patrols faster.
