Brasil Telecom Increases Efficiency of Network Management and Service Provisioning
Overview To meet Brasil Telecom's regulation-related business and service provisioning challenges, the company needed to improve its order management and provisioning processes and reduces its capital expenses and operating expenses. To operate more efficiently and gain market share, the company needed an inventory system with an architecture that could speed up the provisioning and control assets. The company's IT group took a three-tiered approach to solving its challenges. First it built a common, scalable, multi-domain, multi-service OSS reference architecture. Then it selected product vendors and system integration partners. Finally, Brasil Telecom embarked on ProVision, a major implementation to modernize products and processes, consolidate process management data, and roll out services.
