Overview Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd is a state-owned enterprise based in Christchurch, New Zealand. An Oracle customer since 1996, Solid Energy has depended on Oracle for Database Administration (DBA) services for five years. Solid Energy's coal is used in New Zealand for steel making, electricity generation, and energy for industry. More than half the company's annual coal production is exported. Its biomass business produces wood pellet fuel for home heating and industrial and commercial energy. An Oracle customer since 1996, Solid Energy has depended on Oracle for Database Administration (DBA) services for five years. By outsourcing its DBA needs, the company is able to maintain continuous database operation during business hours.
