Overview Established in 1947, Dah Sing Bank is a member of the Dah Sing Group, a leading Hong Kong-based financial services enterprise. Dah Sing Bank wanted to increase reliability and availability of general ledger system and consolidate multiple databases onto a single platform. The challenge was to reduce hardware, software, and maintenance costs and ensure IT staff can support new database platform. The bank selected Oracle Database 10g as the new database platform for its powerful, fail-safe performance, easy scalability, and security. It engaged Oracle Certified Advantage Partner Systex Information (H.K.) to deploy the database and install new Itanium-based HP Integrity servers.
