Cartonajes Levante Integrates Information and Improves Reporting for Profitability Analysis

Overview Founded in 1972, Cartonajes Levante Sa (CARLESA) manufactures corrugated cardboard and specialized corrugated cardboard packages. Cartonajes Levante Sa wanted to integrate information into a single management system for use by all departments (administration, warehousing, purchasing, and production). The challenge was to improve and standardize workflow processes by integrating various functions of the supply chain and control costs and inventory, specifically manufacturing costs and consumption of materials, to increase profit margin. The company worked with Oportuna to implement Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne solution for manufacturing and supply chain management to increase productivity and reduce costs throughout the organization. It improved financial reporting company-wide by standardizing information and data collection.
