Energie Data Services Nederland Streamlines Data Exchange Between Suppliers
Overview Energie Data Services Nederland (EDSN) wanted to give energy suppliers fast access to both actual and historical electricity and gas usage data from 14 million gas and electricity connections. The challenge was to allow energy suppliers to access accurate, reliable data in order to provide their customers with an appropriate advance payment amount and to check the correct meter reading at switch time. EDSN worked with Sogeti to build the Meter Data Register application, allowing Energie Data Services Nederland to upload and access energy consumption data. Due to expertise of Sogeti and the productivity of the development tools used - Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Application Development Framework - it took only two months to build the application.
