Overview Apiver wanted to integrate port information in a robust, dependable, and highly available database, which facilitates operational visibility among 15 ports and harbor installations and maximize productivity by automating operational and administrative processes to increase competitiveness. The challenge was to enhance efficiency to improve merchandise distribution times and customer service and achieve transparency and agility in customs procedures with the objective of improving merchandise distribution times. The company integrated and centralized port information from 16 terminals with Oracle Database - a robust, secure, and highly available database. It also optimized operational efficiency with Oracle Application Server, increasing productivity by moving 6.5 million tons in containers and 12 million tons of cargo a year.
