Dialing in Performance and Availability for an Oracle RAC-Based Billing Application With Symantec Software

Overview Fujian Telecom was growing and consolidating its billing operations, so the company turned to Symantec for infrastructure upgrades. Symantec i3 software is improving application performance as much as threefold while increasing storage utilization as much as 50 percent. Thanks to a disk-to-disk-to-tape architecture and NetBackup software, Fujian Telecom's backups are expected to fit within a three-hour window despite a sixfold increase in data.
