Microsoft Open Value Subscription Licensing Puts the Wind in Rokas' Sails

Overview Since building the first private wind farm in Greece in 1998, Rokas has secured a considerable market share in Greece's energy sector, with an installed capacity of 193.3 megawatts. In addition, the company continues to expand in the design, construction, and installation of lifting and handling equipment, and other complex steel structures. Today the company is in its fifth year of an Open Value Subscription agreement with Microsoft, and has recently completed a major upgrade of its client and server systems to Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Office 2003. The IT department is planning to upgrade to Windows Vista, the 2007 Microsoft Office system, and the latest suite of server software from Microsoft soon.
