Groupware - Workflow White Papers
Automation in the Colli Albani Tunnel
Overview RFI's (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) challenge was to develop an automated system for controlling the lighting and power systems in the Colli Albani tunnel, part of a high-speed railway line between Rome and Naples. UGS' Tecnomatix FactoryLink was used to address system requirements and now delivers operational control of the system. This includes managing approximately 36,000 I/O tags, 12,000 of which are alarms with different priority levels. Different kinds of graphic pages were created using the branching parametric functionalities.
