Overview Wittenstein consists of six independent business units that meet the demands of a variety of industries with products such as servo and elevator drives, servo drive systems, miniature servo motors, highly innovative solutions in the field of medical technology, innovative gear technology and aerospace components. To ensure high-quality drawings, for example, company needed functions such as collision control for individual parts in an assembly and extremely precise derivatives. It also needed tight CAM integration for ensuring seamless downstream processes such as mechanical manufacturing and assembly. The high demands on product and process quality prompted the PDM/CAD department to perform a detailed analysis aimed at determining the optimization potential of an upgrade to the latest version of NX software.
