TechNet Webcast: Network Diagnostics in Windows Vista (Level 200)

Overview This webcast examines two new network diagnostics technologies that are built into the Windows Vista operating system the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI) and the Network Diagnostics Framework (NDF). Both of these features are entirely new in Windows, and they replace existing features that one may have seen in Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. It explains how NCSI and NDF can help to understand why Windows Vista system is experiencing network-related connectivity issues, beyond simply supplying with error messages. The webcast describes how NCSI and NDF can also help to identify and repair many common network-related issues quickly without requiring the use of the command-line tools, which was the only option in the past.
