Overview Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. is China's fourth-largest automaker. The company employs approximately 20,000 people and produces twelve vehicle platforms, ranging from passenger cars to SUVs to busses. Chery's position in the Chinese auto market has been marked by impressive growth. Chery Automobile Co wanted to accelerate product development and manufacturing. The challenge was to implement "Build to order" and increase vehicle production. The company deployed comprehensive PLM approach. Knowledge was re-used. The company used product configuration management, digitally managed workflows and PDM-ERP integration.
