Goodrich Corporation Replaces Hundreds of Legacy Systems, Integrates ERP/PDM and Leverages Hosting for Collaborative Enterprise-Wide Knowledge Sharing
Overview Goodrich Corporation wanted 217 legacy systems in place, 40 representing product development data and 4,200 users worldwide unable to collaborate on critical product development issues or utilize intellectual capital. The challenge faced was the burdened IT department which is powerless to anchor dynamics resident in hundreds of applications and competitors increasingly invoking new, more efficient digitally-based solutions. The company met its planned targets in terms of time and budget in implementing an integrated ERP/PDM system for 4,200 users worldwide, including France, Germany, Singapore and the United States. In so doing, Goodrich's IT department teamed with UGS professionals to deliver a state-of-the-art hosting center for the SAP application, with all solutions and services now running globally.
