Tecnomatix Simulates New Equipment Control and Fleet Management System in Europe's Largest Marine Terminal
Overview Siemens PLM Software, a global division of Siemens Automation and Drives, is working with Navis LCC, a global leader in resource optimization technology for the transportation and logistics industries, and TBA Nederland, a logistics specialist, contracted by Gottwald Port Technology to simulate ECT's equipment control and fleet management systems. The simulation actually contains a precise representation of the software - developed by Gottwald Port Technology - that will control the equipment fleet. The simulation is developed using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. Navis' systems schedule the work for a large fleet of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and RailMounted Gantries (RMGs) and Plant Simulation will be used to test these systems.
