Overview A European manufacturer of telecommunications equipment and a communications solutions provider to telecommunication carriers, Internet Service Providers, and enterprises for delivery of voice, data, and video applications. The customer also provides solutions for fixed and mobile broadband networks, applications, and services, to help build a user-centric broadband world. The company wanted to Re-engineer and port the client's GSM/GPRS Base Station Controller to an AdvancedTCA (ATCA) platform. The challenge was to ensure that the customer's investments in its existing platform are protected with minimal increase in effort, time, and investments and ensure that the re-engineered platform is easily upgradeable and scalable as and when the subscribers grow. The company completed re-engineering and migration support. There was integration and support services. It customized on-going training for the client's engineers.
