Overview KPN wanted to enable KPN to reap the collaborative benefits of a unified IP network, reduce its operating costs and install an enterprise network that it could demonstrate to its customers. An enterprise-wide multi-site IP network built around the Nortel Communication Server 1000 for Voice over IP for 20,000 users. This is enhanced through the use of the Nortel Multimedia Communication Server 5100, which enables voice, data, messaging, video and presence awareness, and Nortel Converged Desktop solutions providing desktop integration with Microsoft applications.
