Application Servers White Papers
Next Generation Infrastructure Improves Performance, Management, and Security
Overview Communication, collaboration, and information technology manageability were barriers to LG Soft India's (LGSI) success in India. LGSI's Netscape-based messaging solution did not address its total messaging requirements, resulting in delays in mail delivery and system breakdowns. LG Soft management began looking for an alternative solution on which to build its IT infrastructure. It selected Microsoft Windows Server System, deploying Microsoft Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2000, and Exchange Server 2003 for messaging, centralised databases, as well as improved communication, collaboration, and security. LG Soft standardised all future application development on the Microsoft .NET Framework. It also deployed Microsoft Systems Management Server 2003 for asset management and deployment of software updates.
