AXA Technology Services Reduces Data Security Costs With Public Key Infrastructure
Overview AXA Technology Services, the support arm of one of the world's largest financial protection and wealth management firms, is responsible for the integrity of vast amounts of sensitive information. Given AXA Group's business model, the use of laptops is a crucial part of everyday working processes, particularly for client-facing staff. But it is essential to protect the confidential business data stored on these computers - particularly those belonging to senior executives - in case of loss, damage, or unauthorised access. In 2004, AXA Technology Services decided to invest in Windows Server 2003, which incorporates EFS technology. This allows users to encrypt files, folders, and other information and prevent unauthorised access. And because the encryption technology is embedded into the operating system, companies can deploy PKI rapidly and cost-effectively.
