BT has added three packages to its Click for Business portfolio - including what it claims is the first business ISP to offer unmetered access - in an attempt to get more small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) online.
The package is reported to be priced at £14.99 and will allow free local calls in the evening and at weekends with discounts for both national and international calls. Additionally, the UK telco is expected to announce an unmetered internet package...
The offer, thought to be branded as "BT Together Local", would be an extension of the current BT package, "BT Together", which provides line rental and up to 200 minutes of free off peak calls (valued at 80p) for a fee of £11.99 a month.
Companies have already identified the limitations of their networks for converged applications. Carriers are seeing massive interest in MPLS IP VPNs and BT, for example, has seen a quarter-on-quarter revenue growth of 170 per cent in that application.
Are we going to have a single supplier for each identified requirement? This neglects the problem that nearly all the contenders are simply resellers of the basic BT service but leave that issue aside for now.
