Reducing Distribution Costs: The Value of RedPrairie's Productivity Management Solution - Customer Survey
Overview For many companies, distribution costs as a percentage of sales continue to rise. Labor costs generally represent the greatest single component of distribution costs, ranging from 40 percent to as much as 70 percent of the total. In this context, ARC conducted a user survey of RedPrairie's labor Productivity Management solution that includes an on-line labor planning and reporting system, DLx Labor (sometimes referred to as a Labor Management System, or LMS). RedPrairie's Productivity Management solution employs discrete labor standards, which are necessary if labor savings are to be maximized. The results of this study do not apply to LMS solutions that lack discrete standards.
