Achieving Loss Isolation for TCP Over Multiple Wireless Interfaces

Overview With the advent of mobile technology, there has been significant increase in the usage of TCP over wireless links. But owing to the limited bandwidth of the present day mobile networks, it has become very expensive for most of the applications. A way to overcome this problem is to aggregate bandwidth provided by various mobile network services. When heterogeneous wireless networks overlap in coverage, a mobile terminal can use multiple wireless interfaces simultaneously to achieve higher bandwidth. A scheduling algorithm, Bandwidth Aggregation (BAG), suggests an approach to efficiently handle this problem at Network Layer.
