Principality Seizes Technology Opportunity as a Result of New Mortgage Regulations

Overview New regulations in the mortgage and insurance industries in the U.K. had a significant effect on Principality Building Society - the largest independent financial institution in Wales. Rather than simply ensuring compliance, the organisation seized the opportunity to extend technology across the business and deliver a host of new online services to direct customers and brokers. Using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004, Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and the Microsoft .NET Framework, Principality has integrated data from disparate legacy systems and created new Web services for brokers and consumers. As a result of the project, Principality became compliant with the CP186 regulations on deadline, and is now able to respond quickly and effectively to regulatory and customer expectations.
