Indigo Books & Music Boosts Store Uptime and Improves Customer Experience With Cisco's Intelligent Retail Network Solution
Overview Indigo is a Canadian company committed to providing a service-driven, stress-free approach to satisfying the booklover. Frequent network outages at small format stores impacted customer service and ability to process sales. There was no visibility at the port level for head office network administrators and new point of sales terminals rolled out at the small format stores required more bandwidth and slowed customer service at stores running ISDN connections. The challenge was to create a secure infrastructure that will meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance. The company deployed Cisco's Integrated Services Router (ISR) which enables secure delivery of concurrent data, voice, and video services - including wireless and Cisco ISR 1811-W routers give Indigo the ability to go with DSL or cable or any other network.
