MSN Overcomes Security Vulnerabilities and Improves Performance While Reducing Costs
Overview MSN EMEA has implemented an advanced application layer firewall and Web caching solution on its server pre-production and development networks. The project, which is seen as an opportunity for MSN to determine a cost effective and secure strategy, enables the configuration of per-network security policies for multiple networks, the stateful packet inspection of all traffic, and intelligent, proactive caching. This has been achieved by deploying the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 as part of the early adopter programme. Working with the Reading-based Dedicated Supportability Services group, MSN EMEA has significantly reduced potential security vulnerabilities, improved the customer experience, and achieved substantial operational efficiencies.
