Chili Company Improves Network With Security Server Upgrade

Overview Skyline Chili uses its computer network for point-of-sales work and for management of its corporate-owned restaurants. The IT department found itself frustrated by the lack of control it had over Internet access, such as time of day and specific Web site access. With a server upgrade underway, administrators decided to address its Internet access issues at the same time. To address both problems, Skyline turned to SurfControl, a Microsoft Certified Partner, for help. SurfControl recommended Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 in conjunction with its SurfControl Web Filter for ISA Server as a firewall and Web cache solution. As a result, Skyline has a new security system that has decreased Web traffic and increased the company's control of its network.
