Overview TeleCable wanted to empower a leading regional service provider to deliver flexible, resilient, high-bandwidth connectivity to an important regional savings bank. Nortel's Metro Ethernet Networking portfolio, comprising the Metro Ethernet Routing Switch 8600 and the Metro Ethernet Services Units 1800 and 1850. Provider Backbone Bridges (IEEE 802.1ah) deliver massive scalability, whilst carrier-class OAM (Operations, Administration and Maintenance) provides a range of service and network monitoring tools. Finally, the Optical Metro 5200 links the core nodes with a high-speed optical backbone.
