Nortel Network Case Study: Sydney Adventist Hospital

Overview Sydney Adventist Hospital doctors and specialists needed to access confidential patient records from consulting rooms off-site and at home after hours, a solution was required that allowed Internet-based access to hospital systems while ensuring the integrity and security of the network. A Nortel VPN Gateway, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) based on SSL (secure sockets layer) technology and application-to-application security, encryption and authentication, was selected.
