NHS Trust Reduces Perimeter Security Servers by 66 Per Cent

Overview Salisbury Health Care NHS Trust was one of the first organisations to connect to N3, the new broadband link delivering key services electronically to NHS Trusts in England. As part of this project, Salisbury needed to replace its existing firewall solution, which was expensive, complicated to manage, and failed to deliver an advanced level of control for blocking access to unsuitable Web sites. The Trust's long-term technology partner, World Class International (WCI), implemented Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2004 Enterprise Edition, which is part of Microsoft Windows Server System integrated server software. A Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, WCI had previously rolled out the Active Directory directory service, for the organisation.
